Term 2, Weeks 5 & 6

  Dear Parents, I hope you have had a restful weekend and found some time to enjoy the beautiful weather before it rains again later in the week. 2N Prayer Assembly 2N prayer assembly will be on Friday 23 rd June at 2.15pm. We hope you can make it. The class will be wearing their school uniform as it is not a performance assembly, so no arguments at home about they want to wear! Each child will have a chance to speak. If you already know your child will not be at school on that date, please let me know. Help with Creating Resources Thank you to Bree and Dean Boyatzis for threading the last of the beads for our class. I need a couple of parents from 2N to place maths resources into 10 pencil cases for our class. It is an easy task, and if you can help on any morning next week, I would be grateful.   Good afternoon, Parents. I hope you’ve had restful weekend. A lot of information is covered in this blog, which I hope you find helpful. Monday Morning with Yr 6 Sport Rangers 6M Sport Rangers have organised some fun sporting activities for 2N on Monday mornings from 8.40 to 9am. Help with Creating Resources Thank you to Yr 2M for putting the maths packs that we will all be using. I need a couple of parents from 2N to assemble the last 10 packs for our class. It is an easy task, and if you can help on Thursday this week at 2pm, I would be grateful. Book Fair 2023 You probably would have already seen the posters around the school. The book fair will take place Tuesday and Wednesday in Week 4 (16th & 17th May). Opening times for parents/grandparents to come are: Tue 8- 8.30 am and 3-4pm Wed 8-8.30 am & 3-3.30pm As well as being open during the above hours, the book fair will also be open to the students during lunch time. I am looking forward to hearing all about your family adventures in the sun, wind and rain, that we have experienced during the holidays. I have had a wonderful time with my grandchildren, going to the beach and the Busselton fair. Below is some information for the start of the term... Wadandi Totems   🌨💧🍂🍁 We are now in the season of Djeran - This is when the weather becomes cooler, tree leaves turn orange and fall off. Josh Whiteland from Koomal Dreaming has approved a native flora and fauna totem and their traditional Noongar name, for all the classrooms at OLC. Over the coming weeks, we will be spending some time learning about the significance of these.   Good afternoon parents and welcome to Weeks 9 & 10 We have had some pirate fun this week and Mr Lee has said that 2N can dress up as pirates on Friday this week! It is hard to believe we are entering the last two weeks of school. Library is back on Wednesdays. Sorry for any confusion. Homework On Monday, we will be sending home the Year Two fluency grid with this fortnight’s focus sounds and tricky words. Have a look at our blog post titled 'Week 4 Information' which shows you how you can use this at home to increase your child's reading fluency.
