Term 3, Weeks 7 & 8
Dear parents,
We hope you have all enjoyed the long
weekend.
Please find below
the information for the following fortnight...
Performance Assembly Video
I am having trouble uploading the 2N performance
assembly onto Seesaw. I will continue to try. If you wish a copy, please send
in a USB drive in a Ziplock bag with your child’s name and I will copy the video.
Open Afternoon – Friday 1st September (wk 9)
Classroom open afternoon on Wednesday 13 of September from 3:30 – 4:30pm. Your child's writing books, InitiaLit books and art folio will be on their desks. If you are available, please drop in for a look. I will have award stickers available for you to select two with your child and stick to their favourite pieces of work. This can be work that is on display or in a workbook.
Homework
Below are our Fluency grids, spelling lists and
focus sounds for weeks 5 and 6.
Our sounds this week are soft 'c', soft 'g' and prefix 're'. Have a look at the posters below for the rule of when to use these sounds:
Mother Teresa was known for devoting her life to
caring for the sick and the poor in Calcutta, India. Even though she is
considered one of the greatest humanitarians and was awarded a Noble Peace
Prize, she still valued humility and said, “if you are humble nothing will
touch you, either praise neither disgrace, because you know what you are.”
Do you let your accomplishments speak for
themselves?
Do you know deep down what you do well?
