Homework
Below are our Fluency grids, spelling lists and focus
sounds for weeks 5 and 6.
English:
This week we are learning the sound 'ch'
as in church, 'tch' as in catch and 'ion' as in action. This fortnight
tricky words are: women, after, laugh, interesting.
This fortnight, we will begin an innovation to the mentor text ‘Sheep and Goat’, a story based on a traditional story, probably from Norwegian or Russian. The story has a common theme of characters leaving home and a potential threat that is overcome. We will be changing the story into our own narrative.
Grandparents Day
The children
had a great morning celebrating grandparents and special people in our lives.
The children loved showing off some of their work.
